The 49th Soho Village Fete takes place this year on Sunday 21 July 2024 12.312.00 - 6pm in St Anne’s Gardens Wardour Street.

Bigger, madder and badder, this year’s event features the much-mentioned and seldom seen spectacle of the Soho Police vs. Soho Firemen TUG OF WAR!

Soho restaurants and bars, it’s time to start limbering up for World Famous, Soho Waiter’s Race. 50 Soho waiters will be under starter’s orders at 3.30pm from the French House, Dean Street, round Soho Square and back to Gerry’s on Old Compton Street, balancing a tray, bottle of champagne, glass and ashtray.

We need Volunteers on the day, we are looking for 100 street marshalls to help us with The Waiters Race - can you spare 1 hour? Volunteers get a free raffle ticket and front row at the Soho Waiters Race!

P lease note the Soho Fete is a Charity event run by volunteers raising money for the Soho Society, there are two bars at the fete, please do not bring alcohol to the fete.

Organised by

In 1972, the Soho Society was established to make Soho a better place in which to live, work or visit.  Within a few months the Society gained consultative status with Westminster City Council on all planning, licensing, traffic and environmental matters. The Society persuaded Westminster City Council to create the Soho Conservation Area - thus protecting existing housing and businesses from demolition.   Members of the Soho Society were instrumental in the establishment of the Soho Housing Association which provides some 800 social and discounted homes for families and others with a connection to Soho.

We are a volunteer led organisation and always welcome new volunteers to help with our various projects.
